The Catholic Spirit Radio Network is seeking to hire an individual eager to play a behind-the-scenes role in
its radio evangelization. This person works with the General Manager to develop, coordinate, and execute
major events. The ideal candidate will have outstanding organizational skills and proven experience working
with the public, fundraising, and event leadership. A full-time Major Event Manager is preferred with options

Assistant to General Manager, MAJOR EVENT MANAGER
Responsibilities Summary
This position has responsibility for planning, organizing, scheduling, supervising, and facilitating the Catholic
Spirit Radio Network's two major on-air fundraisers, Care-A-Thon (typically April) and Fall Appeal (typically
October). Direction and guidance will be provided, as needed, from the General Manager and the past
coordinator. Full-time will also generate and facilitate at least two additional fundraising events throughout
each year.
Major On-air Fundraising Requirements
Promote the Catholic Spirit Radio mission and Magisterium of the Catholic faith
Determine theme for each event with input from GM and EWTN radio celebrity.
Plan, coordinate, facilitate, and oversee events from the planning stage through completion
Work with postcard designer for timely mailing of event notices
Secure matching/challenge donors for seed money
Prepare and arrange communications about event to listeners through mail, radio spots, Facebook, X, email
Determine and distribute premiums, giveaways, and grand prize
Schedule and communicate with radio guests and studio radio hosts
Coordinate and direct committees, volunteers, and staff for events
Maintain competent record keeping, reports, and documentation when needed
Full-time Requirements also include:
