MARCH 16 - YOUNG-AT-HEART "EARLY ST. PATRICK'S DAY LUNCH

YOUNG-AT-HEART welcomes Catholics minimum age of 50 year of age and higher. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day (one day early March 16) by wearing your green & join them for lunch at 11:30am at the  Knights of Columbus Hall, 1706 R.T. Dunn Drive, Bloomington. Complete corned beef dinner or sandwiches available. Reservations not needed. Pay at the door.

MARCH 16 - KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS CORN BEEF/CABAGE DINNER (BLOOMINGTON)

A Corn beef and cabbage dinner will be held at the The Bloomington Knighs of Columbus Hall at 1706 RT Dunn Dr. Bloomington. The cost is $12.  Children's meals will be available.

MARCH 22 - FISH FRY (ATLANTA, IL) 

At St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Atlanta, there will be a fish fry 5-7PM dine-in or carry-out.  For $12, you will get multiple sides & desert.  Tickets can be purchased from the parish office or from a parishioner or by call 792-5966 or (217) 871-5302.  A limited amount of tickets will be sold a the door.

MARCH 22, 29 - KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS FISH FRY (BLOOMINGTON)

A fish fry 5:30PM-7:30 is at Catholic organization, Knights of Columbus Hall 1706 RT Dunn Dr. Bloomington. 

MARCH 22 - PARISH FISH FRY (DOWNS, IL)

St. Mary Church in Downs will be hosting a fish fry from 5PM-7:30PM dine in or carry out.  Donate $11 for Adults. $5 for Kids (age 6-12) or FREE for Children 5 and under. 

MARCH 23 - AUTHOR, RADIO HOST & COMEDIAN KEVIN MATTHEWS SPEAKS (BLOOMINGTON)

Kevin Matthews will be coming to speak at Holy Trinity Church in Bloomington.  "Broken Mary" is a book he wrote about his early years in radio and stand-up comedy, his successful career, his struggle with Multiple Sclerosis, his awakening to the dignity of women, and, importantly, his chance encounter with a broken statue of Mary left next to a dumpster and all that happened as a result. His book acknowledges the brokenness of mankind is touchingly honest, personally inspiring, and full of hope. In the Lower Level of Holy Trinity will be a small lunch followed by a presentation.  His book Broken Mary is available to purchase for $10 cash and he is willing to sign it.

MARCH 24 - EMMAUS KNIGHTS (7TH-12TH GRADERS FOOD, FUN & FAITH)

Young men - from 7th grade to 12th grade - get together on one Sunday afternoon per month to share in fun, food, and faith - just like we do at Emmaus Days! They invite you to Emmaus House 2327 W Heading Ave in Peoria  from 4:30 to 6:30 PM! Although your moms or siblings might be able to give you a ride, they encourage you to ask your fathers to bring you so that your fathers can join in fraternity with other men from around the diocese!  Visit comeandfollowme.org to register

EVENTS THAT OCCUR EVERY WEEK

THURSDAYS - RECOVERING FROM DIVORCE

The next session of the ministry Recovering from Divorce for Catholics will run for 13 weeks (no meeting on March 28th due to Holy Thursday). Meetings will take place at 6pm in Room 9 at St. Patrick Church of Merna in Bloomington. There is no cost to participate and books are provided. EVENTS OCCURRING EVERY MONTH

1st SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH - JOIN A CARMELITE SPIRITUALITY GROUP
At 9AM, the "Carmelite Spirituality Group" will meet at historic St. Patrick's Catholic Church in the parish hall, in Bloomington. Is God calling you to become a Third Order Lay Carmelite? Do you want to learn more about the Carmelite way? If you are 18 years or older, and a Catholic in good standing, you are invited to attend the meetings held every 1st Saturday of the month. 2ND SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH – PRAYER FOR PRIESTS

All are welcome at Historic St. Patrick’s Church in Bloomington at 3PM.  They will pray the rosary, divine mercy chaplet and other prayers for current priests and for future priestly vocations. 

4th SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH - SECULAR FRANCISCAN MEETING (NEWCOMERS ARE WELCOME)

Have you been thinking about following Christ in the footsteps of St Francis of Assisi? If so, you are invited to visit the St Margaret of Corona Fraternity. They are an Order of Franciscan Seculars who meet the fourth Sunday of each month in the St Mary's of Bloomington Parish Hall (lower level below church) from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.  Do you want to promote peace, love, charity and goodness in your life? Then, you are welcome to come & see if this is the path to your journey of simplicity and community.

2ND MONDAY OF JANUARY, MARCH, MAY, JULY, SEPTEMBER, NOVEMBER - K OF C BLOOD DRIVE

​A blood drive will be held at a Catholic organization, Knights of Columbus Hall in Bloomington 6 times per year on the second Monday of January, March, May, July, September, November from 12:30 to 5:30PM.  Walk-ins are welcome.  You also may sign up.  For questions or sign up, call (309) 530-5703.



ONGOING – EUCHARISTIC REVIVAL VIRTUAL CATHOLIC CONFERENCE

Without having to go anywhere, you can have access to great free talks about Jesus’ presence in the Eucharist that you can play whenever you want.  In addition, there are some live talks, too.  Imagine for a moment what it could mean for our Church, our families, and the world if we realized that Jesus is present and more powerful than the storm around us.  Among the long list of speakers, you may recognize some of them, such as Dr. Gregory Popcak who hosts More2Life on Catholic Spirit Radio.  However, the conference is NOT affiliated with Catholic Spirit Radio.  It's not too late.  Sign up anytime.  You'll continue to have access until September 2025.  For more info, visit the website and hit register button:  https://go.virtualcatholicconference.com/ERC22
