Catholic Spirit Radio is hosting a one day pilgrimage on Tuesday, November 17 to The National Shrine of St. Maximillan Kolbe at Marytown (Year of St. Francis Indulgence Site) in Libertyville, IL and to the National Shrine of St. Jude in Chicago, IL. There will be pickups in Normal and Pontiac. To register, visit catholicspiritradio.com and click on the “Spirit Pilgrimage” tab in the menu. OCTOBER 18 - EMMAUS KNIGHTS 7th-12th GRADE BOYS FUN, FOOD, FAITH (PEORIA)

Young men - from 7th grade to 12th grade - get together at Emmaus House in Peoria on one Sunday afternoon per month 4:30PM to 6:30PM to share in fun, food, and faith - just like Emmaus Days! Dads are welcome to stay for fraternity with other dads.

OCTOBER 21 - UNCOUPLED CATHOLICS DINNER & VOLUNTEER HELPFUL ACTIVITY (BLOOMINGTON)

Uncoupled Catholics is a Central Illinois Catholic singles friendship and social group (of all adult ages). Come and enjoy local events with fellow single Catholics. Mercy Creek needs candy donations for their residents to hand out to young children at their Halloween Trick or Treat event on October 31. They will meet up for dinner at 6:30pm at Bandanas BBQ restaurant. Any candy donations can be dropped off at this event.

OCTOBER 24 - EVANGELIZATION SUMMIT (CHAMPAIGN-URBANA)

St. Matthew Parish in Champaign will host a 1 day Evangelization Summit to bring together faithful from across regions of the diocese for a day of reflection, and practical formation. Come encounter Jesus in a deeper way & discover how He is calling you to share His love in your everyday life. Together, they’ll grow as missionary disciples encouraging one another, praying together, and being sent out with renewed purpose for your parish & community. OCTOBER 24 - CATHOLIC SPEED DATING (AURORA)

Catholic speed dating Oct. 24 — St. Margaret Mary Parish in Aurora will hold its second “Catholic Singles Mingle” speed dating night in McDonnell Hall in the Ministry Center, 111 S. Hubbard St. Ages 21-39 are welcome. Check-in is 6PM-6:30PM., speed dating is 6:45-9PM. (with a break halfway through), and a time to mingle is from 9PM to 10PM. Cost: $40; covers 4 drinks and light snacks. Register your information at

Keynote speaker is Mike Blackburn, Knights of Columbus State Secretary and additional speaker: Dr. Ryan Hendrickson, president of Joliet's University of St. Francis. NOVEMBER 4 - ENCOUNTER NIGHT (ADORATION, MUSIC, TALK FROM DIOCESE STAFF MEMBER (BLOOMINGTON)
All are welcome at a peaceful night of music and Eucharist Adoration with Jesus at 7PM at St. Patrick Church of Merna a.k.a. Most Holy Eucharist Parish in Bloomington. Matt Faley, Diocese Chief of Mission, will speak a reflection & music.

NOVEMBER 4 - BLESSED FULTON SHEEN ON THE BIG SCREEN (PEORIA)

Join 2 people who worked hard to get Fulton Sheen to reach the "blessed" title. Bishop Louis Tylka and Monsignor Jason Gray give a short presentation on Blessed Fulton Sheen’s life and enduring legacy, along with a question-and-answer portion to share and educate on the process of sainthood. This event will take place at the Giant Screen Theater at the Peoria Riverfront Museum. Conversation and Q&A will begin at 5:30pm, followed by the screening of “Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen: Servant to All” at 6:30pm.

NOVEMBER 6-8 RACHEL'S VINEYARD-RETREAT HEALS EMOTINAL WOUNDS OF ABORTING A CHILD (WOODSTOCK, IL)

Rachel’s Vineyard retreat Nov. 6-8 — Rachel’s Vineyard, a retreat for women and men who have been wounded by abortion, will be held at the Mission of Cor Jesu in Woodstock, IL.
