WEEKEND MASS TIMES

NO SUNDAY MASS OBLIGATION:  TEMPORARILY

PEOPLE IN ILLINOIS HAVE BEEN ORDERED TO STAY AT HOME BY THE GOVERNOR TO GUARANTEE AN END TO THE POSSIBLE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS.  ALL CHURCHES ON THIS LIST WILL NOT HAVE WEEKEND MASS OR DAILY MASS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.  DETAILS ARE BELOW.

As news of the existence of the Coronavirus in America became available, Bishop Daniel Jenky of the Peoria Diocese said, "I believe it is more prudent to be "proactive" rather than "reactive" in the face of serious danger."  Later he added, "I have decided that our Local Church will act in unison with other dioceses in Illinois and elsewhere and suspend all public Masses beginning this Saturday, at the Vigil Mass, on March the 14th...I know that in the future we will much more appreciate and never again take for granted the great gift of our parish communities."

Catholic Spirit Radio provides EWTN's Saturday & Sunday 7AM Mass via our radio, website, free apps, Alexa or you can listen by simply dialing on any phone (605) 472-9380. Your church may have other alternatives,  such as video of online Mass.  We suggest that you check your parish's webpage.  EWTN records Mass every day and it is archived for you too play back any time of the day at
