TRIP TO MOTHER ANGELICA MUSEUM & MORE

On September 29-30, all are invited to go on a pilgrimage led by Catholic Spirit Radio to Mother Angelica’s hometown of Canton, Ohio.  We will visit the Mother Angelica Museum campus and the Rhoda Wise Miracle House and Grotto.  We’ll also stop at Saint Mary of the Woods, Indiana to tour the Mother Theodore Guerin Shrine and the Sisters of Providence.  Bus pick-up will be in Wapella, Normal, and Champaign. SEPTEMBER 20 - EPIPHANY KNIGHTS DINNER WITH COACH SPACK
Join the Epiphany Knights of Columbus and ISU’s head football coach Brock Spack for “Brisket and Brock” at 6:30 PM. It includes a delightful dinner from chef Matt Sanders and then a great ISU football insider’s talk from Epiphany’s own Coach Spack. All are welcome! SEPTEMBER 21 – VOCATIONS HOLY HOUR IN DWIGHT

All are welcome at St. Patrick Church in Dwight for a special holy hour for vocations at 5PM.

 

SEPTEMBER 22 – YOUNG ADULT ICE CREAM AND ROSARY WALK

All Young Adults (aged 20 thru 39) are welcome to come to Theo’s Microcreamery in Uptown Normal.  People are welcome to buy their own ice cream or come for fellowship.  Later, they will walk to pray a Rosary together on the Constitution Trail. Come even if you aren’t familiar with the Rosary!

SEPTEMBER 22 - "YOUNG-AT-HEART" KICK-OFF DINNER

Young-at-Heart is a social group for everyone, 50 years of age and over, of the Catholic Churches in the Bloomington Normal area. A Kick-Off Dinner will be held at the Epiphany Parish Hall, Normal. Doors open at 5pm and serving begins at 5:30pm. The catered dinner includes: fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, various sides and beverages. Conversation and games after dinner. SEPTEMBER 22 - ANNUAL MOMENTS OF MERCY FUNDRAISING BANQUET

SEPTEMBER 22-24 – EUCHARISTIC REVIVAL VIRTUAL CATHOLIC CONFERENCE

Without having to go anywhere, you can have access to great free talks about Jesus’ presence in the Eucharist that you can play whenever you want. It starts at Noon.  In addition, there are some live talks, too.  Imagine for a moment what it could mean for our Church, our families, and the world if we realized that Jesus is present and more powerful than the storm around us.  Among the long list of speakers, you may recognize some of them, such as Dr. Gregory Popcak who hosts More2Life on Catholic Spirit Radio.  However, the conference is NOT affiliated with Catholic Spirit Radio.  For more info, visit the website and hit the register button: https://go.virtualcatholicconference.com/ERC22

SEPTEMBER 23 - 8TH GRADERS: ASPIRE TO BE A (CENTRAL CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL) SAINT
All 8th grade students are invited to spend a morning at Bloomington's Central Catholic High School at the "Aspire To Be A Saint" event.  They’ll meet the freshman teachers and student ambassadors and have lunch before being dismissed at 12:30. SEPTEMBER 23 - OUTDOOR FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT

SEPTEMBER 23-25 – EMOTIONAL HEALING FROM ABORTION

There will be a post-Abortion Retreat, Rachel’s Vineyard.  It is open to all women and men (singles or married couples, mothers, fathers, grandparents, siblings) who have experienced the emotional pain related to abortion.  You don’t have to suffer alone. It is a safe place to heal and rebuild hearts broke by abortion. SEPTEMBER 25 - MASS WITH BISHOP LOUIS HONORING WEDDING ANNIVERSARIES

The Diocese of Peoria is celebrating anyone who is celebrating in 2022 their 25th & 50th Wedding Anniversary. If so, notify your local parish office. Then, each couple will receive a personal invitation from the Bishop to attend Mass at the Cathedral of St. Mary in Peoria at 3:30PM in your honor.

SEPTEMBER 30 – OCTOBER 1 – EUCHARIST (TALKS & MEALS FOR ALL)

All are welcome to a series of different talks at St. Patrick Church of Merna in Bloomington about the Eucharist.  Friday is from 6PM-8:30 and Saturday is 7:30AM-3PM.  Father Luke Spannagel currently serves as a United States Conference of Catholic Bishops National Eucharistic Revival Preacher.  He previously served at St. Patrick Church of Merna 2011-2014.  Discover how to have an intimate relationship with Christ by encountering God, the author of Love, present in Jesus in the great gift of the Eucharist.  The cost is $10 per person (scholarships are available); includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks on Saturday.  To sign up, go to: https://form.jotform.com/222355975033053

OCTOBER 2 – EUCHARISTIC TALKS FOR TEENS

A talk especially for high schoolers on living a Eucharistic centered life will be given at St. Patrick Church of Merna in Bloomington by Father Luke Spannagel.   Join them for Eucharistic Adoration, praise & worship, food, and fellowship! EVERY WEDNESDAY NOW THROUGH NOVEMBER 23 - ALPHA

Epiphany Church's parish hall in Normal will have the Alpha series every Wednesday from 6-8PM.  Everyone age 16 or older is invited to participate in this Alpha regardless of their religion or lack of religion. 1st SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH - JOIN A CARMELITE SPIRITUALITY GROUP
At 9AM, the "Carmelite Spirituality Group" will meet at historic St. Patrick's Catholic Church in the parish hall, in Bloomington. Is God calling you to become a Third Order Lay Carmelite? Do you want to learn more about the Carmelite way? If you are 18 years or older, and a Catholic in good standing, you are invited to attend the meetings held every 1st Saturday of the month. 2ND SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH – PRAYER FOR PRIESTS

All are welcome at Historic St. Patrick’s Church in Bloomington at 3PM.  They will pray the rosary, divine mercy chaplet and other prayers for current priests and for future priestly vocations.

Come pray for vocations at a holy hour taking place at St. Vincent de Paul parish in Peoria at 6:30PM.
