TRIP TO MOTHER ANGELICA MUSEUM & MORE
On September 29-30, all are invited to go on a pilgrimage led by Catholic Spirit Radio to Mother Angelica’s hometown of Canton, Ohio. We will visit the Mother Angelica Museum campus and the Rhoda Wise Miracle House and Grotto. We’ll also stop at Saint Mary of the Woods, Indiana to tour the Mother Theodore Guerin Shrine and the Sisters of Providence. Bus pick-up will be in Wapella, Normal, and Champaign. The cost is now $400 per person. SEPTEMBER 20 - EPIPHANY KNIGHTS DINNER WITH COACH SPACK
Join the Epiphany Knights of Columbus and ISU’s head football coach Brock Spack for “Brisket and Brock” at 6:30 PM. It includes a delightful dinner from chef Matt Sanders and then a great ISU football insider’s talk from Epiphany’s own Coach Spack. All are welcome! All are welcome at St. Patrick Church in Dwight for a special holy hour for vocations at 5PM.
SEPTEMBER 22 – YOUNG ADULT ICE CREAM AND ROSARY WALK
All Young Adults (aged 20 thru 39) are welcome to come to Theo’s Microcreamery in Uptown Normal. People are welcome to buy their own ice cream or come for fellowship. Later, they will walk to pray a Rosary together on the Constitution Trail. Come even if you aren’t familiar with the Rosary!
SEPTEMBER 22 - "YOUNG-AT-HEART" KICK-OFF DINNER
Young-at-Heart is a social group for everyone, 50 years of age and over, of the Catholic Churches in the Bloomington Normal area. A Kick-Off Dinner will be held at the Epiphany Parish Hall, Normal. Doors open at 5pm and serving begins at 5:30pm. The catered dinner includes: fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, various sides and beverages. Conversation and games after dinner. SEPTEMBER 22-24 – EUCHARISTIC REVIVAL VIRTUAL CATHOLIC CONFERENCE
Without having to go anywhere, you can have access to great free talks about Jesus’ presence in the Eucharist that you can play whenever you want. It starts at Noon. In addition, there are some live talks, too. Imagine for a moment what it could mean for our Church, our families, and the world if we realized that Jesus is present and more powerful than the storm around us. Among the long list of speakers, you may recognize some of them, such as Dr. Gregory Popcak who hosts More2Life on Catholic Spirit Radio. They’ll meet the freshman teachers and student ambassadors and have lunch before being dismissed at 12:30. SEPTEMBER 30 – OCTOBER 1 – EUCHARIST (TALKS & MEALS FOR ALL)
All are welcome to a series of different talks at St. Patrick Church of Merna in Bloomington about the Eucharist. Friday is from 6PM-8:30 and Saturday is 7:30AM-3PM. Father Luke Spannagel currently serves as a United States Conference of Catholic Bishops National Eucharistic Revival Preacher. He previously served at St. Patrick Church of Merna 2011-2014. Discover how to have an intimate relationship with Christ by encountering God, the author of Love, present in Jesus in the great gift of the Eucharist. At 9AM, the "Carmelite Spirituality Group" will meet at historic St. Patrick's Catholic Church in the parish hall, in Bloomington. Is God calling you to become a Third Order Lay Carmelite? Do you want to learn more about the Carmelite way? If you are 18 years or older, and a Catholic in good standing, you are invited to attend the meetings held every 1st Saturday of the month.
