OCTOBER 31 - PUBLIC SQUARE ROSARY RALLY (PONTIAC)

Pray for our Nation at 12PM on the front steps of St. Mary’s i. Please wear a mask and bring a lawn chair if needed. Let’s bombard heaven with our prayers and petitions.

OCTOBER 31 – ROSARY WALK (LINCOLN, IL)

All parishes are invited to meet at Holy Family Church in Lincoln at 11AM for a Rosary Walk to Scully Park (2 blocks away). At 12PM, the Rosary will then be prayed at Scully Park.

NOVEMBER 6 – CHAIRS FOR CHANGE

Nearly 100 local artists have transformed orphan chairs into works of art for your home or office.  Proceeds benefit Recycling Furniture for Families and Havitat McLean County.  From 7-8:30PM, there is a virtual auction.  The 4th Annual Chairs for Change is free and open to all.  Registration, online catalog and bidding is at https://bit.ly/3dmlti2

 

NOVEMBER 6- KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS DRIVE-THRU FISH FRY (PONTIAC)

From 5-7PM, there is a Knights of Columbus fish fry in Pontiac.  It’s a fried pollack or baked cod dinner with baked potato & cole slaw.  To schedule a pick up time, please call Grand Knight Bill at 815-690-7072. A call is greatly appreciated but not required. Enter the parking lot from the north on Chicago Street and follow the cones for car side service.  Free-will donations will be accepted.

 

NOVEMBER 7 – DRIVE THRU TURKEY DINNER (ATLANTA)

St. Mary Parish in Atlanta, IL will be hosting a turkey dinner from 4:30 to 6 pm.  The turkey dinner will be catered by Peggy’s Place Restaurant.  The meal includes sides and desert.  It costs $10 for adults and $6 for a Child (Ages 4-10).  No tickets will be sold ahead.  A 50/50 Drawing will also be featured! 

NOVEMBER 20 – ONLINE DRAWDOWN (LINCOLN, IL)

Lincoln’s 10th Annual Carroll Catholic Drawdown will be a LIVE event from 6:30-7:30PM streaming at https://www.facebook.com/watch/LoganCountyCatholic/

Grand Prize is $5000 and there are several other prizes.  Tickets can be purchased through their team of dedicated sellers or through Carroll Catholic School. You may call the school office at 732-7518 and pay for your tickets by credit/debit card.  If you have questions, please call Charlie at 737-9619 or Nan at 737-3458.

MONTHLY EVENTS

2ND SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH – PRAYER FOR PRIESTS (OUTDOORS)

All are welcome at Historic St. Patrick’s courtyard in Bloomington at 3PM.  The courtyard is in between the priest's house and the church near the church's side entrance/exit.  They will pray the rosary, divine mercy chaplet and other prayers for current priests and for future priestly vocations.  Brings a lawn chair and your rosary.

3RD SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH– RESTAURANT SALES BENEFIT LINCOLN CATHOLIC SCHOOL

All are welcome to a great Catholic opportunity occurring the 3rd Sunday of each month.  Order food at the Culver’s restaurant in Lincoln on the third Wednesday of each month now through May from 10AM-10PM. Mention Carroll School when ordering and 10% of sales go to Carroll Catholic School in Lincoln that day as part of a "Culver's Day" fundraiser.  Here are ways to order: 1) Use the drive-thru; 2) Walk in (wearing mask) and order at the counter; or, 3) Phone in your order at (217) 732-7300 then pickup inside (wearing mask) or go to the drive-thru to pick up.
