SEPTEMBER 8 - 2ND TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH–VOCATIONS ADORATION HOLY HOUR ONLINE
There will be holy hours to pray that the Catholic church will blessed to have more people discern vocations to the priesthood and nuns. The diocese definitely needs more vocations! It will be streamed online at 7PM on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. It features spiritual reflections and live video of the Eucharist for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. SEPTEMBER 12 – OUR LADY OF GOOD HEALTH CELEBRATION
All are welcome at an annual celebration of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title of Our Lady of Good Health. Mass is at 10AM at St. Patrick Church of Merna in Bloomington. There will be a Eucharistic Procession (accompanied by the statue of Our Lady of Good Health). There will be a Benediction and a special Blessing of the Sick through the intercession of Our Lady of Good Health. (This apparition was in India.) Social distancing and face coverings are required. SEPTEMBER 13 (2nd Sunday of each month) – PRAYER FOR PRIESTS (OUTDOORS)
All are welcome at Historic St. Patrick’s courtyard in Bloomington at 3PM. They will pray the rosary, divine mercy chaplet and other prayers for current priests and for future priestly vocations. Brings a lawn chair and your rosary.
SEPTEMBER 24 – YOUNG-AT-HEART KICKOFF DINNER
Young-at-Heart welcomes anyone 50 years of age and over from the Catholic Churches in Bloomington/Normal and other nearby cities for fellowship. A kick-off dinner will be held at Knights of Columbus Hall in Bloomington. Doors open at 5PM. Serving begins at 5:30. The catered plated dinner includes: roast beef, chicken breast, sides, drink and desert. Door prizes are after dinner. COVID-19 restrictions will be followed and masks are needed until you are seated. It costs $14 per person. Reservations and payment are due by September 15.
